Kerta Gosa forms part of the Puri Semarapura royal palace complex and features 2 main structures – a grand hall or the namesake Bale Kerta Gosa, which has ceilings filled with Kamasan-style paintings, and the Bale Kambang ‘floating hall’ or pavilion thats surrounded by a moat. It is a historical landmark in Semarapura, the main town of the Klungkung regency in East Bali. Next, we will continue the tour and stop at Jambul Hills viewpoint, here you could see the green scenic hills and rice terrace on the valley. We then continue the tour and visit Besakih Temple. Known as Balis Mother Temple, this complex of Hindu temples is the largest, holiest and most important on the island. The temples dedicated to the three main gods of Hinduism, Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma are surrounded by smaller structures housing temples to lesser gods or shrines to various Balinese castes.
After our visit to Besakih Temple, we will break for lunch in local restaurant. This will be good opportunity to try some Indonesian dishes. Next, we will visit Tukad Cepung Waterfall. Tukad Cepung Waterfall is definitely one of the most unique spots in Bali. This place is comparatively cooler and offers an immense sense of peace and tranquillity. Tukad Cepung is a rising star among Bali waterfalls. Tourists flock here to take that perfect Instagram shot. The waterfall can be seen between the rock formations and if you are lucky enough, the sun rays will create an amazing show just for you.
